"The In's & Outs of The Harold" Taught by Ryan Leyhue March 12th - April 16th 2019 7pm - 9pm East Nashville Created by improv guru Del Close in the 1960's, THE HAROLD has long since been considered the "industry standard" in long-form improvisation. In this six-week course, you'll stretch your improv know-how to the very brink, learning how THE HAROLD came about, why it works, and why, over half a century later, it is still performed by improv troupes across the globe on a nightly basis. From "The Invocation" to "The Beats" and "Group Game", improvisors will learn the tools to create more believable characters, engage in more organic storylines, further recognize patterns, and be able to see (and live in) a more connected world. "So, you wanna learn improv!" Taught by Amanda Tucker March 12th - April 16th 2019 7pm - 9pm East Nashville This high energy & informative class will teach you the basics of improv comedy that will leave you grinning from ear to ear, learn how to take any suggestion given to you and turn it into full-length scenes, develop characters, pantomime, play games we perform on stage, and the meaning behind the two most important words in the improv vocabulary: YES AND.
