Who wouldn't want to see improv comedy ON HALLOWEEN? During this Special Friday night show you can see two teams, Good vs. Evil compete in all their costumed glory. 
We will be doing never-before-seen games filled with danger, action, and manic energy (fueled by all the candy we're giving away) Amazing costumes, surprises, some games that you might only see once this year, plus an audience costume contest, where the winner receives 2 free tickets to an upcoming show...
You will be out at 8:30pm so there will still be time to go out and enjoy the rest of this magical fright night.

Nashville Improv at the Geek Media Expo (GMX) all this weekend!

Grab your badges, put on your best cosplay and come out to the best conventions in Nashville this weekend!
We are back at GMX for our third straight year with THREE TIMES THE CONTENT.
But before we talk about our schedule lets talk about some of the other cool folks attending.
First off PIRATES ARE INVADING. Pirates of the Caribbean stars Kevin McNally, Lee Arenberg and Martin Klebba are here.

 Greg Grunberg has been in all the good stuff, Heroes, Lost“Alias and Felicity

The guy who has made every video game you've ever loved, especially SPACE QUEST, Scott Murphy
And the voice of Brock and James from Pokemon, plus Yu-Gi-Oh! himself, performing live with his band its Eric Stuart!

Friday
Celebrity Power Hour Fundraiser 8pm - 10pm
A power-hour so powerful it lasts 2 hours! Help us raise money for Nashville Cares, play celebrity flip cup with all the 'real' famous people while we entertain you.
Curiously Confounded The British Panel Show  10pm-Midnight
We take all your favorite panel games from @midnight: Would I Lie To You, Never Mind The Buzzcocks, and NPR’s Ask Me Another and thrown them into a fun competitive event!

Saturday
Improv For Cosplayers 11am-Noon      
 Is your Twilight Sparkle just not sparkly enough?  Let the cast of the Nashville Improv Company teach you how to be more confident, powerful, and sell your character’s walk, talk, and attitude!
Stump The Geeks 3: 1-3pm   
 Come out and test your knowledge, spelling, acting, and persuasion skills in categories of everything geeky.  We’ll be giving out tons of weird prizes, but we’re only crowning ONE King/Queen of the Geeks.
Comedy Carnival 4-5pm    
For a short time only, come visit the geekiest carnival ever to visit the south.
Nashville Improv: Live! 8-10pm
We are putting on a ridiculous LIVE comedy show full of puns, physical feats, and sweet, sweet nerd references.
Geek Slam! 11-Midnight
Here, contestants take on the roles of their favorite characters in an attempt to “slam” other characters in this tournament.

Sunday
NerdFight! Noon-1pm    
Think Empire Strikes Back is the best Sci-Fi movie? Believe that Iron Man’s the best Superhero? Prove it.  Defend your choices against your fellow nerds, and then the audience and our panel of experts choose the winners.
Geektionary 2-3pm
You become part of two teams of awesome artists and guessers to draw and identify titles and names in the various categories of Geekdom

Blockbuster Movie Night at 7pm!
See the best of improv games inspired by the silver screen. Our stars are ready for you to call lights, camera, action as they take your inspirations and turn them into scenes like you've never seen before. Turn of Netflix, step away from the $17 IMAX ticket (unless its to see Guardians of the Galaxy again. Yes it is THAT good, we understand.) and step into live theater and be prepared to be dazzled.

Director's Cut
It's a movie like no other. A movie brought to you by a team assembled for just one job. Make the biggest and best movie they can in 45 minutes or less. See behind the scenes action, outtakes and more in stunning REAL-LIFE HD.
Infinite Jest, the improvised Shakespearean play
Delighting audiences with improvised never-before-seen Shakespearean style plays. The audience will supply the title of a play and they shall perform it in its entirety, in the style of the Bard himself. Violence, Love, Death, and Bawdy Humor, covered with a light coating of poetry and fancy words, to make it seem educational.
Theater brought to life just like it was in the 1500’s.

Think you've got what it takes to get on stage and entertain people...without a script? The Nashville Improv Company will be holding their next round of auditions on Sunday October 5th 2014 and are looking for both musicians and improvisers!
As Nashville’s professional improv company, we bring the best of improv comedy & theater to audiences everywhere. In the past year alone there have been over 40 regular performances, dozens of corporate gigs, over 300 students attending our training center yearly, voted one of the best comedy clubs in Nashville, and many opportunities to travel across the country and perform improv at some of the biggest festivals in the US. There is always room and something happening at Nashville Improv Company.
The NIC is one of the fastest growing groups in the South, and they are looking for more talented performers. 
Auditioners must be at least 21 years old, able to commit to weekly rehearsals, and have prior Improv experience, but any style is accepted.
Audition dates are by appointment only, from 1-4pm on Sunday October 5th, 2014 with evening callbacks on Monday October 6th
