Nashville Improv is looking for the next group of talented team members! A Special Event like no other! Et Compagnie with Nashville Improv!
Wednesday March 14th, 7pm
Tickets Available

Direct from Lyon, France...Et Compagnie is a dazzling mix of improv comedy, mime-work, and emotional connection that will make you fall in love with theater all over again.

Performing in both French and English, they break the language barrier with their deep character work, audacious physicality, and quick transitions.

Et Compagnie is watching a Jean-Luc Godard movie starring Marcel Marceau and Jerry Lewis.  Whether they're recapping the human lives of recently zombified people in a Walking Dead pastiche, or getting hit by a bus in super slow-motion, they do it all with grace personified.

You'll swear it couldn't be improvised, and then you'll just swear...repeatedly under your breath as they do the impossible again and again.

Et Compagnie. Just say Oui Wednesday March 14th.

Special Movement Workshop!
Tuesday March 13th, 7pm-9pm
Register here!

There are many ways to create a character, and many ways to lose them.
The more the point of origin for your character comes from outside (a story, a relationship, an accent…), the more you are likely to let go of some of its traits during a scene. But is there a way to give your character an anchoring point so that whatever happens you can get it back at a moment’s notice?

The story, relations and events are not yours; but your body is. Use it to your advantage!

There are methods I researched and experienced to create a character though body posture, movements and rhythms. With practice and observation, it is possible to come up with the basis for whatever persona you may need. It is possible to use this work to make up a character that is expected (the situation demands that you play a high and mighty duke or a nervous bride-to-be, for instance) or surprise yourself and the audience with an instant creation.
Create a body, live with it and it will bring truthful reactions to whatever is thrown at you.

Improv or stage performance experience is required for this class.
Space is very limited, please book your space to ensure a spot
