Actors, comedians, performers of all sorts… would you like to perform regularly, without worrying about a script? Nashville Improv will be holding auditions on Monday January 20th 2025 at our rehearsal location in East Nashville and are looking for improvisers, actors, musicians, stand up comedians, and people who don’t mind being silly and hold a joy for entertaining.
Do you LOVE to perform? Are you inspired by the theater, film, improv or comedy greats? Do you enjoy random things in pop culture and hum songs randomly to your pets while getting ready for work?
Do you want to train and perform with people who love creating art from an open stage and an audience suggestion?

Nashville Improv is known for doing high energy short form, thematic, and musical improv. We sing a lot. Do you have to be a great singer? Nope! Do you have to be willing to sing a little here and there? (This is Music City and we love it here so it would definitely help) If you’re an actor with a little improv experience or a standup who used to run a theater, a singer who is looking for another place to create, if you have a willingness to jump in and utilize active listening this could be the place for you.
Those auditioning must be at least 21 years old and able to commit to 3-4 rehearsals a month with experience or training in live performance of some kind. A positive attitude and willingness to work with a team is required.
As we continuously push to give amazing performances for this diverse city, we aim to reflect that diversity with our cast! We welcome and encourage ALL to audition. Auditions FAQWhat should I bring with me to auditions?
Comfortable clothes & shoes you can move in, and a bottle of water. How long do auditions last? About an hour, and if you're selected for callbacks, another hour. What if I don't have a recent headshot? Attach a photo of yourself that most closely resembles a headshot What is a performance resume? Pretty much what it sounds like. A list of everything you've done in the improv, theater and comedy world. It can include: performing improv, performing stand-up, sketch comedy, taking improv classes or workshops, attending festivals or shows.
