 One week from today we will be at the worlds largest international improv festival. There will be performances by Ian Roberts, Matt Besser, Rachael Mason, Susan Messing, Laura Hall and Rick Hall, Jon Barinholz and Rob Belushi, Dave Razowksy, Michael Delaney, Kevin Mullaney, talented improv teams from across the country, and Nashville Improv Company.
We're the first group invited from Nashville in their 17 year history and we are ready to rock it in a big way. (Also are more than a little star struck) Unfortunately since most all of us are in the windy city there won't be a performance from us IN Nashville the 1st week of April. But we are planning to make it up to you in several big ways, mostly by adding a bunch of extra shows & james in April in May. Plus bringing in a bunch of out of town guest performers. How cool is that? Classes Also we have posted the next round of classes, seriously sign up early. Our classes have been filling up over a week in advance now, so why not try something fantastic and register today. We are offering a brand new class as well, Stand Up Storytelling. It isn't an improv class, it's another wonderful skill perfect for spoken word artists, actors, comedians: This 6 week workshop encourages you to Write YOUR story be it funny or tragic or something in between, to find your own unique voice in doing so, and share it with an audience.From the page to the stage. This class will provide you with the tools to grab a story, find it’s spine, and breath life into it on it’s feet. We’ll work on the conception stories, writing/editing and memorization. We will then thread our final pieces together into a night of sharing with friends and family, but you also walk away with a story in your pocket that you can perform just about anywhere. It’s a monologue custom made for you! These pieces have power and often lead to solo shows, plays, sketches, short length or feature films, tv show pitches, novels and more. Click here for more info!
